I am Jessie Vandeberghe and I am so excited that you are here on The Fit Fun Macro Mom Podcast! I remember what it felt like working out at the gym hours each day and living on caffeine and sugar then to binge on dinner at night only to feel tired, exhausted, not getting results and being totally over it! I was so busy taking care of everyone else that I wasn‘t taking the extra time for my own nutrition! I thought I could out exercise my poor nutrition, but eventually that wasn‘t working anymore for me! I was frustrated with food, binge eating on the weekends and then back to a restrictive low calorie plan on Monday! Barf! It really wasn‘t working for me at all! But I discovered the secret to my success in Macro Tracking the easy way, using a low pressure system that I like to call Macros 101! After falling in love with my results and the way I felt with tracking, I went and got Certified in Nutrition and as a Macro Coach. I was a busy Personal Trainer who was over exercising and not eating enough for my body and learned how to turn it all around and have food freedom in the process with absolutely no food restrictions and I am here to help you! I am here to teach you everything I know about simplifying food and fitness as a busy working mom. Girl!! You are not the only one that sees that scale change on a daily/weekly basis!! I totally understand! Even when you are showing up to track your macros, weigh & measure all your food, move your body/exercise & focus on getting good sleep...it still fluctuates all over the place!

When Should I STOP Calorie Deficit

This is a question I get asked quite a bit.....
There are many factors to consider when STOPPING Calorie Deficit.
1.) Deficit is not the place we stay to maintain our results.
2.) You don't have to be in Deficit for the full 12-16 weeks if you have achieved your progress desired in less time. Reverse back up to Maintenance anytime you are happy with progress, but do not stay in Deficit longer then the 16 weeks!
3.) If nothing is changing, make a pivot. Small tweaks and changes along the way can add up to great results!
4.) BIO-FEEDBACK! It is what matters most on this journey! Pay attention to it and closely!!

Do you set goals each year and question where to even begin? What goal to start with?
In today's episode I will explain all about how to find your PUSH goal. The importance to setting goals, making a list of 10 and finding that PUSH goal that will help you achieve most or all the other goals on that list.
For example say your 10 goals for 2022 were the following:
1.) Lose Weight
2.) Learn more about how to sustain weight loss and stop dieting for life
3.) Have more joy and happiness
4.) Become more Confident
5.) Learn to track macros/calories & learn about diet phasing
6.) Learn to love the person I see in the mirror
7.) Be a better and more energetic mama
8.) Improve my marriage
9.) Start a home business
10.) Learn to Run
The PUSH goal in this list with be #5..... Learn to track macros/calories & learn about diet phasing.
When you put your energy and focus and time on learning and implementing what you learn here, you will not only achieve most other goals on your list but you will gain confidence and strength to show up to crush the others on the list! It's a Win, Win!!
